Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a rapid test and a lab test?
A rapid test gives a result within minutes at the practice, using a finger prick, urine or a swab. A laboratory test is more detailed and sometimes more sensitive, but results take longer. Dr Govender uses rapid tests for quick decisions and confirms results with a laboratory test when needed.
